The Twisted Tensor™ takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

2. Information We Collect

From the website:

  • Name and email address submitted via the TT-1 waitlist form, tensor ring commission inquiry form, or contact form
  • Practitioner type selected on the waitlist form
  • Message content submitted via contact or inquiry forms

From the TT-1 app:

  • Account credentials used to validate subscription access
  • A timestamp and IP address recorded at login by the authentication service (Supabase) as part of the access code validation check — this is the extent of what is recorded at the server level

What we do not collect from the TT-1:

All clinical and session data — witness names, dates of birth, locations, intentions, remedy selections, session history, broadcast logs, and client files — is stored locally in your browser on your own device. It never leaves your device. It is never transmitted to, received by, or stored on any server operated by The Twisted Tensor. Client files (.tt1) are downloaded to your computer and never uploaded anywhere. The Twisted Tensor has no visibility into how you use the instrument after login.

Automatically from the website:

Standard web analytics data (pages visited, time on site, browser type) via Google Analytics. This data is aggregated and not personally identifiable.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to inquiries and commission requests
  • To notify waitlist members when TT-1 subscriptions open
  • To provide and maintain your TT-1 subscription
  • To communicate updates, new features, or changes to the service
  • To improve the website and app based on usage patterns

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Session and Witness File Data

All clinical data entered into the TT-1 remains on your device. The Twisted Tensor cannot access, view, recover, or share your session data under any circumstances — because we never receive it. This is by design. You own your clinical data entirely.

Because your data lives in your browser's localStorage, please be aware that clearing your browser data or switching browsers will erase your local session history. Back up your client files (.tt1) to your computer regularly to prevent data loss.

5. Data Retention

Contact form and inquiry submissions are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. Waitlist information is retained until the waitlist closes or you request removal. TT-1 account credentials are retained for the duration of your active subscription. Upon cancellation, your account data is retained for 30 days and then deleted unless you request earlier deletion. Session and witness file data is never retained by The Twisted Tensor — it exists only on your device.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting ellen@thetwistedtensor.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

This website uses minimal cookies necessary for site function and analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

8. Third-Party Services

This website uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Netlify (hosting and form processing)
  • Supabase (subscription access validation — records login timestamp and IP address only)
  • Google Analytics (website analytics)
  • Substack (newsletter)
  • Printful (merchandise fulfillment)
  • Stripe (payment processing — Phase 2)

9. Children's Privacy

This website and the TT-1 are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
