The Twisted Tensor™ takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

2. Information We Collect

From the website:

  • Name and email address submitted via the TT-1 waitlist form, tensor ring commission inquiry form, or contact form
  • Practitioner type selected on the waitlist form
  • Message content submitted via contact or inquiry forms

From the TT-1 app:

  • Email address used to validate subscription access via magic link authentication
  • If you use "Save to Account": client photo and witness information stored on our servers for cross-device access

What we do not collect from the TT-1:

Session history, broadcast logs, remedy selections, and locally saved client files (.tt1) remain on your device and are never transmitted to any server. If you use "Save Client File," that data is downloaded to your computer only and The Twisted Tensor has no access to it. If you use "Save to Account," the client photo and witness information is stored on our servers solely to enable cross-device access — it is never shared or used for any other purpose.

Automatically from the website:

Standard web analytics data (pages visited, time on site, browser type) via Google Analytics. This data is aggregated and not personally identifiable.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to inquiries and commission requests
  • To provide access to the TT-1 instrument following subscription
  • To provide and maintain your TT-1 subscription
  • To communicate updates, new features, or changes to the service
  • To improve the website and app based on usage patterns

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Session and Witness File Data

The TT-1 offers two ways to save client data. "Save Client File" downloads a .tt1 file to your own device — The Twisted Tensor has no access to this data under any circumstances. "Save to Account" stores a client's photo and witness information on our servers for cross-device access — this data is held securely and never shared or used for any purpose other than making it available to you across your devices.

Session history, broadcast logs, and remedy selections are stored locally in your browser. Clearing your browser data or switching browsers will erase this local history. Back up your client files (.tt1) to your computer regularly to prevent data loss.

5. Data Retention

Contact form and inquiry submissions are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. Waitlist information is retained until the waitlist closes or you request removal. TT-1 account credentials are retained for the duration of your active subscription. Upon cancellation, your account data is retained for 30 days and then deleted unless you request earlier deletion. Save Client File data is never retained by The Twisted Tensor — it exists only on your device. Save to Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active, and deleted per the retention terms above upon cancellation.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting ellen@thetwistedtensor.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

This website uses minimal cookies necessary for site function and analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

8. Third-Party Services

This website uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Netlify (hosting and form processing)
  • Netlify (hosting, form processing, and subscription access management)
  • Google Analytics (website analytics)
  • Substack (newsletter)
  • Printful (merchandise fulfillment)
  • Stripe (payment processing for subscriptions and tensor ring invoices)

9. Children's Privacy

This website and the TT-1 are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
